Students learn about the latest innovations in disease prevention, human communications
and health maintenance from the Departments of
Kinesiology and Community Health, Recreation,
Sport and Tourism, or Speech and Hearing Science.
Additionally, the Division of Disability
Resources and Educational Services provides academic and nonacademic services for
students with disabilities.
Pre-professional programs include medicine, physical therapy, and occupational
therapy and are combined with practical experience through international research and
internship opportunities. Nearly all of the professions in which AHS students will be
employed are identified as "growing faster or much faster than average" by the
Occupational Outlook Handbook.
