Biostatistical Support

Dr. Sa Shen is available to work with AHS researchers, faculty, and staff, including postdoctoral associates.

Guidelines for use of CHAD Biostatistical Services

Consultations are free of charge as a service to AHS researchers, but the expectation is that AHS Biostatistical Services will be supported on proposal budgets as appropriate. While all requests for biostatistical support will be considered as Dr. Shen’s time allows, priority will be given to externally funded projects and proposals for external funding. Researchers from other units may be able to access services if they are collaborating with an AHS investigator on a grant submission or funded project with approval.  Limited biostatistical support for graduate student projects will be considered on a case-by-case basis, as other forms of statistical support are available to students including the Scholarly Commons at the Main Library.

Priority will be given to:

  1. Work on projects that have been externally funded and include statistical services in the budget
  2. Consultations for external proposals that include ICR and have included statistical support in the budget
  3. Consultations for other proposals (internally funded or proposals with no ICR)
  4. Consultations/work on manuscripts and data analysis on unfunded projects
