  • Prerequisite courses (or equivalents)*
    • Introduction to Computer Science
    • Introduction to Psychology
    • Introduction to Public Health
    • Introduction to Statistics or Health Statistics
    • Linear Algebra
    • Research Methods
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • GRE General Test Scores – GRE scores are not required but you may submit scores if you feel this will enhance your application.
  • Official transcript(s) from an accredited undergraduate institution
  • Personal Statement

    Write two essays. The completed Personal Statement should be no more than 1,000 words in length. This statement will be evaluated by the content as well as quality of writing. Please address the following:

    • Interest in Health Technology (500 words max)
      • Please describe your previous academic work and how it prepares you for a professional degree in Health Technology.
      • Discuss personal, volunteer, or work experiences that have influenced your decision to apply
      • Discuss your career goals and what you expect to gain from this professional degree.
    • Innovative Thinking (500 words max)
      • Describe a health problem or challenge in healthcare delivery where you see the potential for you to use or create health technology to address this problem or challenge. What would you build? What knowledge and skills do you need to be successful in your efforts?

*Prerequisites or their equivalents can be met in alternative ways (e.g., summer school at your community college, or approved COURSERA courses). Communicate with the program advisor to find out more!
