Financial Aid & Scholarships

SCHOLARSHIPS

Master of Health Administration Scholarship

The Illinois MHA Program provides limited scholarships based on merit and/or need.  The application materials submitted by each applicant for admission will be utilized to determine scholarship recipients.  Students who are offered a scholarship will be notified upon admission.

Kinesiology and Community Health (KCH) Awards and Scholarships

MHA students are encouraged to apply for the KCH Awards and Scholarships in the Spring semester each year.  The amount of aid varies from scholarship to scholarship, but students can apply for as many as they are eligible for.

Financial Aid Scholarship Database

The office of Financial Aid provides a great resource to students via their Scholarship Database. Students are encouraged to apply for as many scholarships as they can; this resource serves as a great first step in the process.

ADDITIONAL SOURCES OF AID

Applied Practice Experience

All students are required to complete an Applied Practice Experience.  Competitive students have the opportunity to apply for paid experiences.  Please note, not all experiences are paid, and our program encourages students to consider all opportunities, paid or unpaid, to get the experience that is right for them and their future career goals.

On-Campus Employment

Many current MHA students work in hourly-paid positions on campus.  These opportunities are available through the Assistantship Clearinghouse and the Campus Job Boards.  Like many professional degree programs, the MHA program is self-supporting and does not offer or accept tuition waivers.

Off-Campus Employment

Our program encourages students to seek opportunities that will help them to grow professionally and build a strong network while they are enrolled.  Students have a variety of healthcare organizations locally to choose from and are encouraged to apply.

Financial Aid

Students are encouraged to talk with the Office of Student Financial Aid for additional financial aid opportunities.

  • The MHA program does honor statutory waivers which are authorized by the State of Illinois legislation.
