STUDY PARTICIPATION

CHILDREN

Kids age 6-11 needed for a study on diet, air pollution, and health

We are looking for kids ages 6-11 years for a study of how diet and air pollution result in inflammation. During two week-long visits, we will collect indoor air samples. Participants will provide urine and saliva samples, complete questionnaires, and have body measurements taken. You will receive up to $100 in Amazon e-codes for their participation. Interested? Complete our interest form.

Eye health and school performance nutrition study in 8- to 10-year-olds

The iCONS research study involves seven 2-hour visits & a daily gummy for 9 months.  Activities include height, weight, & eye health measurements, reading & math related questions, computer tasks, & parent questionnaires. Seeking children for listening comprehension experiment

Looking for children (age 8-12) who are native speakers of American English and have normal hearing. Participants will receive a hearing screening and listen to sentences in noise while wearing a portable EEG during a single 1 hour visit. Compensation of $20 cash will be provided at completion. Children 5-17 yrs needed for paid study about hearing in noisy environments

We are recruiting children for a paid research study focused on how to improve children's speech understanding in noisy environments. We’re looking for children who are 5-17 years old and who speak English as their first language. The study lasts approximately 1 hr. Participants are paid $15. Free parking. Seeking children aged 8-11 for a study on plant based food consumption

Children ages 8-11 sought for a study on the impact of daily consumption of plant-based snacks on physical and cognitive development and health. If eligible, your child will visit our lab (6-8 times) for procedures, including bone density scans, measurements, blood draws and cognitive assessments as well as simple at-home procedures. WOMEN

Maternal Mindfulness to prevent depression and reduce postpartum pain

Are you a Latina woman who had a planned cesarean delivery in the past 12 months? We are looking for women (aged 18-45) to help us develop a mindfulness intervention for Latina women who plan to deliver by cesarean. Stress, Emotions, and Pain in the Postpartum Period Interview (SEPPPI)

Did you give birth in the past 12 months? Have you currently or previously experienced stress, sadness, low mood, other sad emotions, and pain since childbirth? We are conducting individual phone interviews for women (aged 18-45) to learn how emotions and pain are experienced by women postpartum. Seeking pregnant women for fetal hearing study

Seeking female participants between 20 and 32 weeks pregnant for research to better understand what fetuses hear on a daily basis. Participants will wear a small audio device that measures sound exposure for their baby. Participants will be paid for each measurement session they complete. ADULTS

Research Study on Yoga for Chronic Pain

Join us for six weeks of gentle yoga where you will learn yoga postures, breathing and meditation techniques to manage pain. We are actively recruiting adults ages 18-64 experiencing chronic pain who do not have a regular mind-body practice and are able to move around freely without an assistive device. Seeking adult males with no known hearing loss

We are looking for males with no known hearing loss to participate in research exploring how information received by the left and right ear is combined by the brain. Compensation of $15 an hour; an estimated 2-3 hours of participation. Email binauralhearinglab@gmail.com or call (217) 244-2154.

Recreationally Active Participants (20 to 50 years old) for Nutrition Research

We are examining the effects of vary amounts of fat in a meal on the rate of building muscle proteins. The study requires 3 days of participation including 2 full-day trials with blood and muscle sample collection. You get $300 upon completion, information about your body composition (muscle and fat), and results of your lower body strength testing. Contact Zan Zupancic for more information.

Young adults (18-30 years) needed for research study

Participants needed for research study on effects of aging on brain activity and behavioral performance. Participants must be native English speakers, right-handed and have at least a high school education (or equivalent). Participants will be compensated. OLDER ADULTS

 

Blood Pressure (BP) Study

Participants needed for a study on health technology that supports BP medication adherence. Participants must be 65 years of age or older, take at least one medication for high BP, and use an iPhone. Participants will receive compensation. Please spread the word to family and friends. (Study in partnership with the University of Arizona). Medicare interview study for older adults

We are seeking research participants for an interview study about Medicare. Participants must be 62 or older. Participants who complete the interview (approximately 2.5 hours) will be compensated $50 in Amazon e-code. For more information, please contact kch-hfa-createp3@illinois.edu.

Older Adults with Post-Stroke Cognitive Impairment

We are exploring challenges encountered in daily activities for older adults (60+) with history of stroke. If you are experiencing difficulty with thinking, memory or concentration, we would like to learn from your experiences to develop solutions. The study will be conducted using videochat. Free Virtual Latin Dance Program for Hispanic/Latinos Aged 50+

Do you or someone you know identify as a Spanish-speaking, middle-aged Latino (50+)? Join our FREE virtual Latin dance program! Older Adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment

Get Involved in Paid Research into Sitting and Brain Health

Looking for adults aged 60-75 to participate in a study into prolonged sitting and how adults think. The study's aim is to test the feasibility of interrupting sitting with short bouts of high-intensity exercise in older adults and measure brain and cognitive functions before and after sitting.
