Jules Woolf CV 201904.pdf
Dr. Woolf’s research interest focuses on the nexus between sport and health and the way in which this may be managed to facilitate positive and hinder negative outcomes. This informs two main areas of research. The first centers on doping in sport. The second examines sport development, both in terms of the development of sport and the use of sport for developmental (i.e., health) outcomes. Rather than focus on the health outcomes per se, he is interested in the managerial and policy issues that affect these outcomes. The ultimate objective of his research is to formulate normative models that describe and explain the ways in which sport, as an institution, influences and promotes health. His work has been previously supported by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
