Advising

Advising is at the heart of the I-Health program. Our advisors are here to partner with you to channel your talents and passions towards a career that maximizes them.

The College of Applied Health Sciences and Interdisciplinary Health Sciences place significant emphasis on advising and the important role it plays in the lives of students. Students are required to meet with their advisor at least once per semester, but most students meet with their advisor more often than that. The I-Health program presents so many career possibilities and opportunities that working with advisors helps students to narrow their focus on careers that are best for them.

Scheduling an Appointment

Required Appointments

For required appointments, you will receive an email from an advisor at the beginning of the semester. This email will contain a link to schedule your appointment online using your UIN and university email address.

These appointments are required. If you miss your appointment, a hold will be put on your account and you will not be allowed to register for classes.

Other Appointments

If you would like to see your advisor for non-required appointments throughout the school year, simply use the online scheduling system to make your appointment.

Registering for Classes

Near the end of each semester, the registrar will send you a Time Ticket via email to register for courses for next semester. If you have not received a Time Ticket you can contact registration@illinois.edu. Tentative registration schedules are available through the registrar website.

The Time Ticket will inform you of the day and time that you will be allowed to register for classes. Once you receive your Time Ticket, you will have a clearer idea as to when it is best to meet. Athletes, James Scholars, seniors, and juniors typically have priority registration and thus will be seen first for advising.

If you are having difficulty with class registration contact your advisor via email and include your UIN, Net ID, and the error code you are receiving.
